The NYA type 450/750V copper core polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulated cable (with copper wire armouring or galvanized steel wire armouring) is a single-core cable specially designed for medium and low-voltage power transmission. With its robust structure, reliable electrical performance, and wide adaptability, it plays an important role in industrial, construction, and outdoor engineering fields.​ In terms of core structure, the cable uses high-purity copper as the conductor. The excellent conductivity of copper ensures efficient current transmission and can effectively reduce energy consumption. The outer layer of the conductor is wrapped with a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation layer. PVC material has good electrical insulation performance and can withstand the rated voltage of 450/750V (where 450V is the phase-to-earth voltage and 750V is the phase-to-phase voltage), meeting the needs of most low-voltage power distribution scenarios. At the same time, the PVC insulation layer also has certain chemical resistance and mechanical strength, which can resist slight wear and corrosion in daily use.​ The armouring layer is a major highlight of the cable, offering two options: copper wire armouring and galvanized steel wire armouring. Copper wire armouring not only enhances the mechanical protection capability of the cable, resisting external impacts such as extrusion and collision, but also has certain anti-corrosion performance, making it suitable for humid or slightly corrosive environments. Galvanized steel wire armouring, on the other hand, is characterized by higher mechanical strength, with outstanding tensile and anti-rolling capabilities. It is especially suitable for scenarios such as underground laying, outdoor exposure, or areas that may be crushed by heavy machinery, such as industrial zones and municipal engineering. Both armouring methods can effectively protect the internal conductor and insulation layer, extending the service life of the cable.​ In terms of performance, this single-core cable shows advantages in many aspects. It has a wide operating temperature range, usually able to operate stably in an environment of -15℃ to 70℃, adapting to different climatic conditions. The flame-retardant property of the PVC insulation layer (in line with relevant standards) can delay the spread of flames to a certain extent, improving the safety of use. In addition, the single-core design reduces interference between cables, facilitating separate laying in complex wiring environments, especially suitable for occasions requiring separate control or signal transmission.​ The application scenarios are very extensive, covering multiple fields: in industrial plants, it is often used to connect large mechanical equipment and power supply for production lines; in construction projects, it can be used as the main power distribution line in buildings, or in areas with mechanical protection requirements such as underground garages and equipment rooms; in outdoor projects, such as street lamp systems and power supply for greening irrigation equipment, the galvanized steel wire armoured version can withstand erosion from natural factors such as wind, rain, and ultraviolet rays; in humid environments such as basements and sewage treatment plants, the anti-corrosion characteristics of copper wire armouring make it an ideal choice.​ In terms of installation and maintenance, although the flexibility of the cable is slightly lower than that of non-armoured cables due to the presence of the armouring layer, it can still be bent and cut with professional tools to adapt to different laying paths (such as threading, underground laying, or wall-mounted 架设). During installation, care should be taken to avoid excessive bending that may cause the armouring layer to break, and terminal treatment should be done well to ensure the tightness of insulation and armouring. In daily maintenance, its robust structure reduces the need for frequent overhauls, and only regular inspections are required to check whether the armouring layer is damaged and whether the insulation layer is aging.​ To sum up, the NYA type 450/750V copper core PVC insulated armoured single-core cable, with the efficient conductivity of copper conductor, stable protection of PVC insulation, and strong protection of the armouring layer, has become a high-quality cable that combines safety, durability, and adaptability, providing a reliable solution for various medium and low-voltage power transmission scenarios.
