Details of PVC Power Cables (Models such as Nyy-O, Nyy-J)

I. Information Related to the Product Itself

(I) Specification Parameters

PVC Stromkabel Nyy-O, Nyy-J, and Nyy Yer Alti Kao are 4-core high-current earthed Power Cables, covering specifications like 4X10mm², 4X16mm², and 4X25mm². Their specification parameters are precisely set according to different cross-sections, which can fully meet the needs of high-current transmission and stable earthing.
Current-carrying capacity is a key parameter reflecting their high-current transmission capability. In a standard environment (ambient temperature 25°C, laid in the air), the current-carrying capacity of 4X10mm² cables is about 40-50A; that of 4X16mm² cables can reach 55-65A; and that of 4X25mm² cables can reach 70-85A. If laid underground (a common scenario for the Nyy Yer Alti Kao model), due to relatively poor heat dissipation conditions, the current-carrying capacity needs to be multiplied by a correction factor of 0.85-0.9; in high-temperature environments, the correction factor will be further adjusted to about 0.8.
The outer diameter of the cable increases with the increase of the cross-section. The outer diameter of 4X10mm² cables is about 18-20mm; that of 4X16mm² cables is about 20-22mm; and that of 4X25mm² cables is about 22-25mm. Such outer diameter sizes not only ensure the reasonable arrangement of 4 Cores (including the earthed core) but also can adapt to laying spaces such as underground pipelines and wall 穿管. Their rated voltage is 0.6/1kV, and the earthing resistance of the earthed core is strictly controlled below 4Ω, which meets relevant safety standards and ensures the reliability of the earthing protection function.
In addition, the DC resistance of Copper Conductors is clearly limited. At 20°C, the DC resistance per kilometer of 4X10mm² cables is not greater than 1.83Ω; that of 4X16mm² cables is not greater than 1.15Ω; and that of 4X25mm² cables is not greater than 0.727Ω, which effectively reduces the loss during power transmission.

(II) Characteristic Uses

These cables show distinct characteristic uses in various scenarios by virtue of their characteristics such as high-current transmission, stable earthing, and adaptability to underground environments.
4X10mm² cables are suitable for power supply and earthing of small industrial equipment. Small machine tools in the workshop (such as bench drills and grinders) have moderate power. This specification of cable can provide stable power for them, and at the same time, the earthed core can timely conduct static electricity or leakage from the equipment shell to the ground, ensuring the safety of operators. The power distribution system of small warehouses also often uses this specification of cable to connect ventilation equipment, small lifting equipment, etc., taking into account both power transmission and safe earthing.
4X16mm² cables can meet the needs of medium-sized equipment. The central air-conditioning units in shopping malls have large power and need continuous high-current supply during operation. 4X16mm² cables can stably transmit power, and the earthed core can effectively avoid safety accidents caused by leakage of the units. In auxiliary equipment of production lines in medium-sized processing plants (such as material transfer pumps and constant temperature boxes), this specification of cable can not only ensure the normal operation of the equipment but also eliminate potential safety hazards during equipment operation through the earthing function.
4X25mm² cables are suitable for large equipment. The main power supply of the factory production line needs to distribute power to various branches. The high current-carrying capacity of 4X25mm² cables can meet the high-current transmission demand of the main power supply, and the earthed core provides protection for the electricity safety of the entire production line. The sorting equipment clusters in large logistics centers have a large total current during operation. This specification of cable can ensure stable power supply and prevent electric shock risks when equipment fails through reliable earthing.
The Nyy Yer Alti Kao model has obvious advantages in underground wiring scenarios because it is particularly suitable for underground laying. The power distribution system of underground garages in residential communities requires cables to operate in underground environments for a long time. This model of cable can resist moisture and slight corrosive substances in the soil, ensuring stable power transmission and earthing; the main power supply lines of underground shopping malls also often use this model, which can adapt to the laying requirements of underground enclosed environments. The Nyy-J model has been structurally optimized and has more prominent stability, making it suitable for scenarios with high requirements for power supply continuity, such as special power distribution lines for small medical equipment in hospitals.

(III) Material and Style

In terms of material selection and style design, these cables fully combine the needs of high-current transmission, earthing function, and laying environment, achieving a balance between performance and practicality.
In terms of materials, the conductor is made of high-quality copper with high purity, which has excellent conductivity, can efficiently transmit large currents, and reduce energy loss during transmission. The copper conductor also has good ductility and is not easy to break even with a certain degree of bending during laying, which is convenient for construction.
Both the insulation layer and the sheath are made of PVC materials. The PVC Insulation layer has good insulation performance, which can effectively isolate the current conduction between cores and between cores and the outside world, ensuring the safety of power transmission. The PVC Sheath has high mechanical strength, strong impact resistance, and wear resistance, which can protect the internal cores from external mechanical damage. At the same time, PVC materials have certain corrosion resistance and can resist acid and alkali substances in the soil, moisture in the air, etc., which is especially suitable for the underground laying scenario of the Nyy Yer Alti Kao model.
In terms of style, all are 4-core designs, among which 3 cores are phase lines and 1 Core is an earthed core. The earthed core is usually yellow-green, which is convenient for quick identification and wiring. The overall shape of the cable is cylindrical with a smooth surface, and the color is mostly black, which is resistant to dirt and can blend with underground, industrial workshop and other environments. The surface of the cable is clearly printed with model, specification, rated voltage, manufacturer, earthing mark and other information, which is convenient for construction personnel to identify and later maintenance. The Nyy-O model may have a slightly optimized sheath thickness, which enhances the protection of the internal cores.

(IV) Production Process

The production process of these cables focuses on the core needs of high-current transmission and stable earthing, and each link is strictly controlled to ensure product quality.
The first step is the production of Copper Conductors. High-quality copper rods are selected and drawn into Copper Wires of the required diameter through a wire drawing machine. During the wire drawing process, the speed and die precision are strictly controlled to ensure uniform diameter of the copper wires. Subsequently, multiple copper wires are stranded to form cores (including 3 Phase Cores and 1 earthed core). During stranding, the copper wires are arranged closely to enhance the conductivity and mechanical strength of the conductor.
Next is insulation extrusion. The PVC Insulation Material is heated and melted in an extruder, and then uniformly coated on the surface of each copper conductor through a mold to form an insulation layer. During the extrusion process, the temperature (about 160-180°C), pressure, and extrusion speed are accurately controlled to ensure that the insulation layer has a uniform thickness (the insulation layer thickness of 4X10mm² cables is not less than 1.0mm, that of 4X16mm² cables is not less than 1.2mm, and that of 4X25mm² cables is not less than 1.4mm), and the surface is smooth without bubbles or impurities, ensuring stable insulation performance.
Then comes the cabling process. The 4 Insulated Cores (3 phase cores and 1 earthed core) are stranded in a certain stranding way. During stranding, filling materials (such as polypropylene rope) are added to make the cable shape round and reduce friction between cores. After cabling, a layer of wrapping tape is wrapped to enhance the structural stability of the cable.
After that is sheath extrusion. The PVC sheath material is heated and melted in an extruder and uniformly coated on the outside of the cabled core to form a sheath. For the Nyy Yer Alti Kao model, the sheath will be appropriately increased in thickness or adopt a special formula to improve the corrosion resistance in underground environments. After extrusion, the cable is cooled and shaped in a cooling water tank to make the sheath solidify quickly.
During the production process, multiple quality inspections are required, including inspections of core diameter, insulation layer and sheath thickness, tests of insulation resistance and voltage withstand performance, and tests of earthed core conductivity. Only qualified cables will be printed with relevant marks on the surface, then cut and wound.

II. General Product Information

(I) Packaging

The packaging of these cables focuses on protecting the cables from damage during transportation and storage, and at the same time takes into account the convenience of handling. Different packaging methods are adopted according to the length and specification of the cables.
For long-length cables (usually 100 meters and above), wooden reel packaging is adopted. The wooden reels are made of solid hardwood with strong load-bearing capacity. The cables are neatly wound on the wooden reels, and the tension is controlled during winding to avoid looseness or over-stretching. Baffles are installed on both sides of the wooden reels, and their height is higher than the winding height of the cables to prevent the cables from slipping. The outer layer of the cable is wrapped with a plastic film to prevent moisture and dust. The wooden reels are marked with model, specification, length, weight, manufacturer and other information for easy identification.
Short-length cables (such as 10 meters and 20 meters) are packaged in cartons. The cartons are made of high-strength corrugated paper, and foam boards or soft fillers are placed inside to fix the cables, preventing sheath wear caused by collision during transportation. The surface of the carton is printed with product information and warning signs such as "Handle with Care" and "Moisture-proof".
The packaging materials meet environmental protection requirements and are recyclable. The packaging is firm and can withstand bumps and squeezes during transportation and handling.

(II) Transportation

For cable transportation, appropriate methods should be selected according to the laying scenario and transportation distance, and targeted protection measures should be taken.
Truck transportation is adopted for short-distance transportation (such as intra-city distribution), which can be directly delivered to the construction site or customer warehouse, reducing handling links. For long-distance transportation, railway transportation is selected, which has good stability and large transportation capacity and is suitable for large quantities of cable transportation. For cables such as Nyy Yer Alti Kao that are often used for underground laying, if they need to be laid immediately after being transported to the construction site, transportation methods that can directly reach the construction site can be preferred.
During transportation, cables packaged with wooden reels should be placed horizontally and fixed on the transport vehicle with steel wire ropes to prevent shaking and collision. When transporting in rainy days, the cables must be completely covered with rainproof cloth to avoid moisture; when transporting in high-temperature weather, direct sunlight should be avoided, and sunshade treatment can be carried out.
Special equipment such as forklifts and cranes are used for loading and unloading, and manual dragging is strictly prohibited. When loading and unloading the Nyy Yer Alti Kao model, attention should be paid to protecting the sheath to avoid damage to the sheath caused by collision, which may affect the underground laying performance.

(III) Shipment

The shipment process is standardized and orderly to ensure that the cables are delivered in a timely and accurate manner.
Order confirmation: After receiving the order, the sales staff checks the model, specification, quantity, delivery address, delivery time and other information with the customer and confirms the payment status.
Stock preparation: Warehouse staff retrieve cables from the inventory according to the order and check whether the packaging and marks are intact. If the inventory is insufficient, the production department is notified to arrange production to ensure that the stock is prepared according to the agreed time.
Outgoing inspection: Quality inspectors conduct random inspections on the prepared cables, including appearance, insulation thickness, and earthing conductivity. Only qualified cables can be delivered out of the warehouse, and a quality inspection report is issued.
Arranging transportation: Select the transportation method according to the delivery address and quantity, and inform the customer of the transport vehicle information and estimated arrival time.
Cargo tracking: After shipment, track the transportation status and feed back to the customer in a timely manner. If there are abnormalities such as delays, coordinate and solve them immediately and inform the customer.

(IV) Samples

To help customers understand the products, convenient sample services are provided.
Sample application: Customers can apply by phone, email, etc., stating the required model, specification, and receiving information.
Sample preparation: Samples are prepared within 1-2 working days, with a length of 1-2 meters, cut from qualified products to ensure consistent quality with bulk products. The samples are marked with model, specification and other information, and are accompanied by product manuals.
Sample delivery: Samples are sent by express and packaged with simple protection (such as hard envelopes). Samples are provided free of charge, and the express fee is borne by the customer.
Sample tracking: After sending the samples, the customer is informed of the express waybill number. If the customer has any questions after receiving the samples, the technical staff will answer them within 24 hours.

(V) After-sales Service

Perfect after-sales support is provided to ensure that customers have no worries during use.
Quality assurance: The product warranty period is 1 year (from the date of receipt). Within the warranty period, if there are problems due to the product's own quality (such as insulation layer damage and earthed core failure), customers can apply for after-sales service with the purchase certificate. After verification, free replacement or repair will be provided.
Technical support: A professional technical team provides full-process support. In the selection stage, recommend appropriate models and specifications according to the equipment power and laying environment; guide the installation during laying (such as the buried depth and protection requirements for underground laying); answer questions about maintenance and troubleshooting during use, and provide on-site guidance if necessary.
Maintenance service: For faults that exceed the warranty period or are caused by human factors, maintenance services are provided. Before maintenance, the cause of the fault is detected, the maintenance cost and time are informed to the customer, and performance tests are carried out after maintenance.
Regular return visits: Regular return visits are made 1 month, 3 months, and 6 months after the customer receives the cables to understand the use situation, collect opinions, and provide maintenance knowledge (such as regularly checking the earthing resistance and avoiding the sheath from contacting corrosive substances) to extend the service life of the cables.
