    PVC insulated/sheathed 4c×185mm² underground copper power cable is a high-performance cable specially designed for underground power transmission scenarios. With excellent structural stability, environmental resistance, and conductive efficiency, it is widely used in underground laying projects such as urban power grid transformation, industrial park power distribution, and residential community incoming lines, becoming a core component of underground power transmission networks.​ In terms of structural design, the cable adopts a 4-core copper conductor configuration, with each core having a cross-sectional area of 185mm², and the overall structure is compact and bundled. The conductors are made of high-purity electrolytic copper (purity ≥99.95%) through multi-strand stranding technology, which not only improves the mechanical strength of the conductor, enabling it to withstand tensile and compressive stresses during underground laying, but also reduces power loss caused by the skin effect, with a conductivity of over 58MS/m. In the 4-core design, 3 cores are phase lines and 1 core is a neutral line (or ground line), meeting the requirements of a three-phase four-wire power distribution system without the need for additional neutral line laying, simplifying the layout complexity of underground pipelines.​ The insulation and sheath system is crucial for the cable to adapt to the underground environment. The insulation layer is made of weather-resistant PVC material, with a uniform thickness controlled between 1.8mm-2.2mm, featuring excellent electrical insulation performance (insulation resistance ≥1000MΩ) and breakdown strength (≥10kV/mm), which can effectively block the erosion of conductors by underground moisture, soil salts, and other factors. The outer sheath is also made of thickened PVC material (thickness 2.0mm-2.5mm), modified with a special formula, having UV resistance, acid and alkali corrosion resistance, and microbial erosion resistance, capable of resisting chemical substances in underground soil (such as sulfides, nitrates) and gnawing by rodents. In addition, the sheath has certain flame retardancy (oxygen index ≥30), which can delay the spread of flame in case of accidental fire, providing additional safety guarantee for the underground power system.​ In terms of performance parameters, the rated voltage of the cable is 0.6/1kV, suitable for underground transmission in low-voltage power distribution networks; the long-term operating temperature range is -15℃ to 70℃, adapting to soil temperature changes in different regions; it can withstand high temperatures of 160℃ during short circuits (within 5 seconds), ensuring safety in fault situations. Its bending radius is not less than 12 times the cable outer diameter (about 300mm), facilitating turning and pipe threading operations in narrow underground spaces and reducing construction difficulty. The weight per kilometer is approximately 850kg-900kg, balancing structural strength and laying convenience.​ In application scenarios, the cable has extremely wide adaptability. In urban power grid projects, it can be used as an underground main line to connect substations and distribution rooms, undertaking power transmission tasks in the region; in industrial parks, it is used to connect the factory's main distribution station with various production workshops, providing stable power for large motors, production lines, and other equipment; in residential communities, it serves as an incoming cable to connect the municipal power grid to the community distribution center and then distribute power to each building. Especially in areas with high water levels or highly corrosive soil, the moisture-proof and anti-corrosion properties of its PVC sheath are prominent, significantly extending the service life of the cable (design life ≥20 years).​ In terms of construction and maintenance, the cable supports various underground laying methods such as direct burial, pipe threading, and cable trenches. For direct burial, a sand cushion and warning tape must be laid to avoid damage to the sheath by sharp stones; for pipe threading, the inner diameter of the pipe must be no less than 1.5 times the outer diameter of the cable to reduce friction loss. In daily maintenance, the waterproof performance can be further improved through the sealing treatment of cable intermediate joints and terminal heads; with the help of an online monitoring system, the operating temperature and insulation status of the cable can be monitored in real-time to potential faults in advance.​ In summary, the PVC insulated/sheathed 4c×185mm² underground copper power cable, through scientific structural design, high-quality material selection, and comprehensive performance optimization, perfectly adapts to the power transmission needs of complex underground environments, providing stable, safe, and efficient power guarantee for urban infrastructure, industrial production, and residents' lives.
